11th July 2011

The Croke Park Community GAA VHI Cúl Camp for local children took place in Clonliffe College on the week of 4th July. More than 150 local children drawn from the immediate Croke Park area were involved in the week long football camp.

Stadium Event Controller Seamus Meade coordinated all enquiries to ensure that as many local children as possible interested in taking part have an opportunity to participate.

Dublin hurlers Liam Rushe and Alan Nolan dropped in on county team mate Liam Ryan in Clonliffe College to ensure that everything was tip top at this very special GAA VHI Cúl Camp where qualified coaches help the children with their skills. Ryan is co-ordinator for the camp held in the shadow of Croke Park and the stadium subsidises the event in an effort to attract as many young local girls and boys as possible.

Uachtarán Chumann Lúthchleas Gael Criostóir Ó Cuana also dropped in to pay a visit and he was accompanied by former Dublin football manager Paul Caffrey.
