When visiting the GAA Museum why not pay a visit to Cú Chulainn's Den, our new activity room. Cú Chulainn's Den is located on the first floor of the museum next to the Interactive Games Area.
What's in a Name?
Cú Chulainn's Den is named in honour of Ireland's greatest warrior and hurler, Cú Chulainn. According to ancient Irish legend Cú Chulainn slayed the ferocious hound of Culainn with his hurley and sliotar.

What's on Offer?
Cú Chulainn's Den is a dedicated space within the museum for visitors of all ages to take time out and explore all that the activity room has to offer!

- Make a match headband in your county colours using the museum's stock of wool
- Colour in one of the museum's specially designed colouring sheets or create your own GAA inspired artistic masterpiece
- Conduct some GAA research from the large collection of GAA books on display
- Watch an episode of Ballybraddan on our big screen
- Try on GAA jerseys belonging to some famous players (the museum also has a stock of replica jerseys from some famous GAA matches down through the years!)
- Discover what life was like for Cú Chulainn in the Iron Age through the Museum's Cú Chulainn Workshop.
Opening Hours
Cú Chulainn's Den is open on a Saturday from 11.00 - 15.00 and on a Sunday from 12.00 - 15.00.
Cú Chulainn's Den is fully wheelchair accessible with close proximity to lifts.
