16th December 2010
Over 500 local senior citizens were in Croke Park on Sunday 12 December for the annual Christmas Party hosted by the stadium in conjunction with Fitzgibbon Street Guards. The party has been an annual event for more than ten years and the stadium is delighted to open its doors to the local community.
The party is made possible with the cooperation of the guards, Dublin Bus, stadium suppliers and contractors, and volunteers from stadium staff. The guards and Dublin Bus coordinate the transport arrangements to get everyone to the stadium for lunch.
Fitzers Catering prepare a 3-course Christmas menu and service is handled by their staff and stadium volunteers. The guards help organise the drinks service and also do a prize raffle at all the tables. Lively entertainment keeps everyone singing and dancing into the late afternoon after which everyone is delivered home safely.
Croke Park would like to thank all those who contributed to the day.
