Former Kilkenny great Eddie Brennan will host the first Bord Gáis Energy Legends Tour of Croke Park for 2014. The eight-time All-Ireland winner will take supporters on a very special stadium tour on Saturday 5th July at 2pm.

‘Fast Eddie’, as he was affectionately known in his playing days with the black and amber, will also be well placed to look ahead to the Leinster Hurling Final the following day. The Graigue-Ballycallan clubman won ten senior provincial championships during his glittering career with the Cats.  He is now very well renowned for his punditry skills through his role on RTÉ’s The Sunday Game.

Eddie Brennan commented, “It’s a great honour to be selected as a Bord Gáis Energy Legend.  When I see some of the names who have gone before me I feel hugely humbled to have been recognised in this way.  I hope those who come along on July 5th will enjoy the experience.  They’ll get a chance to have a look behind the scenes at what goes on in GAA Headquarters, which is a stadium everyone attached to the GAA should be very proud of”.

This is the second year of Bord Gáis Energy’s sponsorship of the Legends Tours series after a highly successful partnership in 2013.  GAA legends Johnny Doyle, Brendan Cummins, Brian Corcoran and Maurice Fitzgerald are just some of the other star names who will host these exclusive tours of Croke Park this summer.

All Bord Gáis Energy Legends Tours include a trip to the GAA Museum, which is home to many exclusive exhibits, including the original Sam Maguire and Liam MacCarthy Cups.

Booking for the 2014 Bord Gáis Energy Legends Tours is essential as places are limited.
