Exhibitions
In addition to its permanent exhibitions, the GAA Museum hosts a range of temporary exhibitions throughout the year.
In March 2010, the GAA Museum will host a photographic exhibition celebrating Irish sport from 1980-2010. This exhibition is being hosted in partnership with The Irish Times and coincides with Dublin being chosen as European Captial of Sport in 2010.
In May 2010 the GAA Museum will host Fighting Irish - Celebrating Celtic Prizefighters 1820 to present. This exhibition, organised by the Irish Arts Centre, NYC under the direction of Jim Houlihan, tells the story of Irish emigration through the sport of boxing.
Following a successful run at the Irish Arts Centre and the South Street Seaport Museum (NYC) and the John J. Burns Library at Boston College, this eclectic collection of boxing photography and artifacts was recently on display at the Ulster American Folk Park in Omagh. It is due to open in Croke Park in mid-May for a limited time only.
