In advance of visiting Croke Park, please be aware of our safety procedures and plan accordingly. Read our full FAQ's below.

Tickets

Tickets can only be obtained via Official GAA channels, for more information please click here.

Ticket vans and GAA ticket offices located on North Circular Road and Dorset Street will not be open. 
 
Yes, everyone entering the stadium requires a valid match day ticket.

 
Tickets will only be available for purchase on the day of the game via the Ticketmaster website and selected stores. All tickets will be issued in advance. Ticket offices around the stadium will be closed. Ticket vans will not be in operation.  


 
E-tickets are the predominant ticket now in use. We encourage all patrons to download their ticket in advance of coming to the stadium and to have their ticket ready for inspection at the cordons and for entry via the turnstiles.

 
All rebates are processed in advance. There will be no cash rebate available on the day.

Planning your journey

Spectators must plan their journey to and from the stadium in advance. There are a number of ways to travel to and from the stadium, including walking, cycling, and public transport.
In line with our stadium sustainability policy, we encourage all patrons to use public transport where possible.

On your ticket will be a colour coded route for example: “Red Route – Cusack Stand”, please follow the directions and signpost of your designated route to avoid any delays. A stadium map can be found here
There is limited parking available in City Centre Car Parks and O’Connell Schools. Please note: Clonliffe College is no longer available for parking on event days.

Always consider those living in the area when parking and do not park in residential areas or block entrances exits to properties.  Be aware that DSPS clamping, and the issuing of on-the-spot parking fines are in operation on streets around Croke Park during stadium events. 
There are a limited number of car parking spaces for patrons with accessible needs onsite in Croke Park. Spectators with accessibility parking requirements must apply for accessible parking passes before 5pm on the Wednesday of the match weekend. Requests after this date cannot be facilitated.

Please note accessible parking is not guaranteed and passes are issued on a match-by-match basis and on requirements and availability.

Bike parking is available in two locations around the stadium: Davin car park and the Cusack car park. Do not leave bicycles or motorcycles in areas which may block or obstruct spectators or resident’s property.
Allow adequate time for entry procedures and familiarise yourself with your colour-coded entry route and entry times. This information will be on your ticket. Please ensure you have your ticket downloaded in advance.
Yes, searches will be in operation, for more information see our FAQ’s on our match day bag policy. Please travel lightly and only bring essential items and small bags only.
Please arrive at least one hour prior to the game. In order to facilitate entry, please have your tickets ready for scanning when you reach the top of the queue. Please be patient and follow the instructions of stewards and Gardaí.

Matchday Bag Policy

Backpacks and large bags are not allowed into Croke Park for matches, only small bags measuring no bigger than A4 (8.27in/21cm × 11.7/ 29.7cm) will be permitted into the stadium. 
Bags may be searched on entry to the match and to avoid lengthy queues we strongly advise that you do not bring a bag.

Please allow plenty of time to get into the stadium, and for match entry procedures, ticket checks and searches, we would advise arriving at the stadium at least 1 hour before throw-in.
Plastic bags are allowed into Croke Park for matches, but must measure no bigger than A4 (8.27in/21cm × 11.7/ 29.7cm) in size and may be searched on entry to the match. To avoid lengthy queues, we strongly advise you do not bring a bag.
There are no bag storage facilities near the stadium and only small bags measuring no bigger than A4 (8.27in/21cm × 11.7/ 29.7cm) will be permitted into the stadium. Bags may be searched on entry to the match and to avoid lengthy queues we strongly advise that you do not bring a bag.
You may also be searched at the entrance to Croke Park which may include a full body pat down and/or use of hand held metal detectors. Any item(s), which may reasonably be considered for use as a weapon, or which may cause danger or disruption to any other persons at the event, will be confiscated. 

Please note that confiscated items cannot be returned once the patron has entered the ground. 

Persons suspected of carrying items that may be used in an offensive or dangerous manner, or carrying out illegal activities within the stadium or other parts of the site may be searched.
If a person does not wish to give consent for a search to take place, Croke Park have a right to refuse admission. This stadium policy is endorsed and supported by An Garda Síochána who will always be in the vicinity of the stadium’s designated search areas. Any complaint or issue should be notified to the Gardaí on the day. 

Signage is clearly displayed where searches are located and the policy and exact procedure are explained clearly by trained search teams, who are in place on the day before any search commences.

We would not recommend bringing a baby buggy to Croke Park. Baby buggies may be permitted entry but must be left at the back of the stands and are left there entirely at the owner’s risk. Buggies can not block any entry or exit routes to the stands.

Please notify security at the gates in advance of being searched that you are carrying such items as bags may be searched on entry to the match.

Further assistance from one of our team of special needs stewards may also be requested if needed.

Inside The Stadium

Yes, you may bring food and beverage into the stadium. Beverages must be sealed in 500ml plastic bottles or smaller, and reusable bottles must be empty on arrival (there are water fountains throughout the stadium to refill). The search policy and bag size will apply, for more information see above match day bag policy. Cans and alcohol are not permitted to be brought into the stadium.

You must consume your food in your allocated seat and please dispose of any rubbish in the appropriate bins provided or bring your rubbish home.

Yes, there is a variety of food and beverage options available in the stadium details of which can be found here. Each unit is contactless which a cash option available. (Please note the queue you are joining as there is signage in place for cash only/cash and card)

Yes, smoking is permitted within the stadium in the designated smoking areas only.

Yes, match day programmes will be available for sale inside the turnstiles. Contactless and cash options are available at these points.

The GAA Museum operates on a certain number of match days. For museum opening times please contact the museum directly: [email protected]

No, for health and safety reasons re-entry is not permitted. Tickets which have been scanned once cannot be rescanned and will be declined is presented and entry refused.

As with any match day Croke Park will continue to monitor the weather and other factors that may affect the game with stadium & GAA match officials and the Gardaí. If anything changes, we will alert ticket holders as soon as possible. 

Plan your journey to Croke Park well ahead of time.  

​What should I wear/bring with me? 
  • Croke Park Stadium is an outdoor venue. Please arrive prepared for inclement weather as the stadium roof may provide limited cover where you are seated. Spectators are encouraged to plan for the weather expected and dress accordingly. 
  • Pack a rain poncho. Ponchos will cover you as well as your bag/accessories. 
  • Please note, umbrellas are not permitted in the stadium for the courtesy and safety of all spectators.
