Health & Safety Policy

It is the policy of Páirc an Chrócaigh Teo, in so far as is reasonably practicable, to seek and provide safe working conditions for all Croke Park personnel, whether working on a full time, part time or voluntary basis and to enlist the active support of Croke Park personnel and contractors in achieving such conditions.

Páirc an Chrócaigh Teo is committed to:

(a) Promoting standards of health, safety and welfare that comply with the provisions and requirements of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 / the Code of Practice for Safety at Sports Grounds and all other relevant statutory provisions and codes of practice.

(b) Providing and maintaining a safe working environment, safe systems of work and to protecting Croke Park personnel and the public, in so far as is reasonably practicable.

(c) Ensuring that all Croke Park personnel whether full time, part time or voluntary are informed of the Company Health & Safety Policy through their Safety Induction to the Company, and ongoing Safety Training.

(d) Making available Croke Park’s Health & Safety Policy to interested third parties.

(e) Providing Croke Park personnel with the information, training and supervision that they need to carry out their activities safely and efficiently and to develop safety awareness among contractors and the public.

(f) Defining responsibilities with respect to health and safety matters.

(g) Encouraging full and effective joint consultation, with Croke Park personnel and third parties, on all health and safety matters.

(h) The Continual Improvement of their Safety Management System, and to ensuring that it is reviewed annually to ensure that it remains relevant and appropriate to Páirc an Chrócaigh Teo.

To ensure that the above objectives are met, the Executive Committee and Management are committed to playing an active role in the implementation of the Safety Management System and undertake to review and revise it in the light of experience and developments.
