Hair Hurling Balls - new temporary exhibition now open

The GAA Museum today opened a new temporary exhibition, ‘Hair Hurling Balls – Earliest Artefacts of our National Game’, which showcases the predecessor of the modern sliotar. The balls of matted cow hair with a plaited horsehair covering were all found in bogs and are up to 800 years old.
Family Fanzone Returns To Croke Park

The Family Fanzone is free to all match ticket holders and takes place before designated championship games in Croke Park. Having welcomed over 86,000 people since 2012, this year’s Family Fanzone has something for fans of all ages to enjoy.
Bord Gáis Energy Legends Tours launched by Ciaran Whelan and Tony Browne

Following on from the success of last year’s series, the Bord Gáis Energy Legends Tours are up and running this summer at Croke Park. Dublin great Ciaran Whelan and Waterford star Tony Browne were at GAA Headquarters today to officially launch the 2014 tours.
Cancellation of Garth Brooks Concerts

The GAA and Croke Park Stadium note with much regret the confirmation that none of the Garth Brooks concerts scheduled for later this month will now take place.
Garth Brooks Licence

The GAA and Croke Park note the decision of Dublin City Council in relation to the granting of a licence for the staging of three Garth Brooks concerts on Friday 25th, Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th July.
